Welcome to the Troop 43 Web Site

Troop 43 Pembroke, Massachusetts currently has about 45 scouts. 

If you are interested in joining our Troop we would encourage you to click on "Contact Us" and we'll follow-up on your inquiry.

The guiding ideals of Troop 43 are based on the BSA Scout Law, Scout Oath, Scout Motto and the Boy Led method.  All Scouts and Adult Leaders (Scouters) are guided by these ideals in all troop functions.  These are among the first things a new scout learns.

“Empowering boys to be leaders is the core of Scouting. Scouts learn by doing, and what they do is lead their patrols and their troop. The boys themselves develop a troop program, then take responsibility for figuring out how they will achieve the goals. One of our most important challenges is to train boy leaders to run the troop by providing direction, coaching and support. The boys will make mistakes now and then and will rely upon the adult leaders to guide them. Only through real hands-on experience as leaders can boys learn to lead.”   - BSA Scoutmasters Handbook.

Eagle Project Fundraiser - Andrew Gillis

Hello All, 
My fundraiser proposal to the town just got approved today. I will be holding a car wash at the Pembroke Rec Ctr. in the center of town on Saturday April 26, from 9 am to 2 pm. I know this is short notice but if anyone who can volunteer please email me back as soon as you can with the times you can help out it would be gratefully appreciated. Also if anyone has car wash supplies that I may borrow or use it would be much appreciated. Parents could you please pass this onto your scouts. You can email me back at andrew.gillis1996@yahoo.com

New Scouts Parent meeting - April 29th

Attention parents of new scouts!  Mr. Gallinger (Scoutmaster) and Dylan Fraser (Senior Patrol Leader) will meet with you in the science room at 7:30p.m. to talk about Troop 43.  This is the time to learn about Troop 43 and all it has to offer your boys.  It is also the time for you to ask any questions that have been on your mind.

State House Visit

Troop 43 has been invited to tour the State House in Boston by our State Rep. Josh Cutler for Thursday, April 24th (School Vacation). It meets requirement 2 of Citizenship in the Nation
Meet at Hanson Commuter Rail Station at 8:30>  take 8:52 train arrive at  South Station at 9:34> Take Red Line to Park St. Station or walk to State House
Arrive at State House by 10:00...
